June 2026: We are pleased to announce that our project proposal on novel intermetallic nanostructures has been approved as part of the ZFF-IQ program. This funding will enable us to develop new concepts for the synthesis, structural characterization, and investigation of intermetallic nanomaterials and to explore their potential for future applications.

06/2026: Fabian had the opportunity to present his research at the AOC Colloquium at KIT Karlsruhe. It was a pleasure to get to know the inspiring research community there and to have many exciting conversations. Special thanks go to Prof. Hanf for the kind invitation and warm hospitality.

05/2026: Dominic successfully defended his master’s thesis!! We’re proud of you. Many thanks to Prof. Pietschnig for serving as the second examiner.

04/2026: Fabian has accepted a teaching position at the University of Marburg and will be teaching a lecture on the module “AC-1: General and Inorganic Chemistry” during the Summer Semester 2026, as well as leading the corresponding lab session.

04/2026: Dominic submits his master’s thesis, and Konstantin begins his bachelor’s thesis!

03/2026: Sascha B. and Konstantin B. successfully complete their “Syn-1” internship with our group! Konstantin will remain in the group as a bachelor’s student.

02/2026: New publication! We report on Al(II) transfer in Chem. Sci. A fantastic collaboration with C. Lichtenberg (University of Marburg) and a great team effort!

09/2025: Dominic attended the “Main Group Reactivity Conference (1st-MG-ERC)” in Namur (Belgium) and won a poster award! A great achievement—we’re proud of you!!!

08/2025: Our first publication!! We report on cadmium aluminyls and their reactivity in JACS. A great team effort!

01/2025: We wish you a great start to the new year! We’re starting to set up our lab—lots of organizational work, but we’re having a lot of fun doing it! Thanks to the Pietschnig group for being so supportive of the new group’s integration.

11/2024: Fabian introduced himself at the GdCh Colloquium at the University of Kassel, presented work from his doctoral and postdoc phases, and outlined his plans for independent research. Afterward, it was time for a social gathering and getting to know his new colleagues. A great day—thanks to everyone!
