Beamtime at ILL
From September 25 - 30, 2025, Florian Ott, Jonas Bugase and Arne Vereijken conducted experiments at the neutron reflectometer D17 at the nuclear power plant of the Institute Laue Langevin (ILL) in Grenoble, the French "capital of the Alps". Domain walls of artificial magnetic domain patterns were investigated.

On 20.10.2025 Lutz Marder successfully defended his dissertation entitled Decay Cascades of Inner-Shell Vacancies in Rare-Gas Clusters.

Beamtime at MAX IV in Sweden
From October 11 - 21, 2025, Yusaku Terao, Dana Bloß, Andreas Hans, Adrian Krone, Gabriel Klassen and Niklas Golchert together with our external colleagues Rémi Dupuy, Ouassim Hocine Hafiani, Markus Marracci and Iain Wilkinson performed experiments at the FlexPES beamline of the MAX IV synchrotron in Sweden. They investigated local Auger cascades in anions in the liquid phase.
Group retreat 2025
Our annual group excursion took place from 30.09.-02.10.2025. The purpose of this event was both the informal exchange on scientific topics and strengthening the team spirit within the group.
