Beamtime at FlexPES

From December 1 - 9, 2025 Dana Bloß, Yusaku Terao, Johannes Viehmann, Emilia Heikura, Joel Herrmann and Madhusree Roy Chowdhury together with our external colleagues Rémi Dupuy and Olle Björneholm performed experiments at the FlexPES beamline of the MAX IV synchrotron in Sweden. ICD (intermolecular Coulombic decay) processes in resonantly excited cations were investigated.

Beamtime at DESY in Hamburg

From 27.11. - 02.12.2025 Mika Ossenschmidt, Arne Vereijken and Yahya Shubbak together with our external colleague from the University of Mainz Timo Kuschel conducted experiments at the DESY P09 beamline of the PETRA III storage ring. The influence of helium ion bombardment on the magnetic proximity effect in platinum was investigated. The measurement method used was resonant magnetic X-ray reflectometry, which is a particularly sensitive method for characterizing magneto-optical depth profiles.
