Research profile of the Departments of Mathematics and Natural Sciences
Research at Faculty 10
Our fields of research cover four central areas: material research, organismic and molecular biosystems, modelling and simulation in natural and engineering sciences and research into empirical teaching and learning. We are also participating in many cooperation projects that involve different institutes: the SFB 1319 special research field entitled Extreme Light for Analysing and Controlling Molecular Chirality, the LOEWE Centre entitled “Desirable Complications when Learning”, PRONET – “Professionalisation through Networking”, the “Biological Clocks” Graduate School, PhosMORg – Phospho-Regulators of Biomolecules – and the LOEWE Centre called “Scalable Molecular Quantum Bits” (SMolBits).
