Start of the cooperative project 'Community catering for Witzenhausen daycare centers and schools' in Witzenhausen town hall

On 27.05.2027, we will launch our new service learning module 'Shaping sustainable food systems' with a kick-off event at Witzenhausen Town Hall. Framed by two lectures on local needs analysis and on levers and best-practice examples from various municipalities in Germany, students and stakeholders will discuss together for which levers in Witzenhausen the students will develop a participation concept in the seminar.

Service learning is a teaching/learning method in which students implement practical projects for the common good. With this service, which is geared towards a specific social need, they deepen their professional skills and contribute to the transfer of knowledge.

The seminar is supported by Service Learning at the University of Kassel.
