Die zwei in diesem Sommersemester vom Fachgebiet Internationale Agrarpolitik und Umweltgovernance geleiteten Module „Agrar- und Umweltgovernance“ (Bachelor Ökologische Landwirtschaft) und „Institutionen und Kollektives Handeln im Agrar- und Umweltsektor“ (Masterstudiengang Ökologische Agrarwissenschaften) unternahmen in der Kompaktwoche eine Exkursion in den Landkreis Lüchow-Dannenberg.Lehrende aus Tunesien zu Gast in Witzenhausen – Austausch zur Lehre im Bereich nachhaltige Landwirtschaft

Guest lecture by Prof. Rami Zurayk, American University of Beirut, Lebanon “Food security and sovereignty in Arab Countries: what do we really mean?”
Rami Zurayk is a Professor of Ecosystem Management at the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences at the American University of Beirut. He is a longtime activist for political and social justice. Zurayk's current research focuses on the relationship between landscapes and livelihoods, on food politics, and on local food systems.

On May 9, 2022, the course Critical Perspectives of the Food System (Ariane Götz) welcomed Sergio Coronado, PhD, to hold a guest lecture on critical agrarian issues of “Agrarian law and legal activism”, focusing on the role and interrelations of agrarian law, environmental law and human rights law, as they are currently articulated in the context of agrarian movements’ legal mobilization.
