Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is a mobility programme for students and staff. Our department launched this programme in 2023, establishing cooperations with four Erasmus+ partner regions: the Western Balkans (Albania), Sub-Saharan Africa (Ghana, Uganda, Ethiopia), Ukraine, Georgia, and the Caribbean (Trinidad and Tobago).

The main objectives of the Erasmus+ mobility program include staff mobility for the exchange of academic and non-academic staff for professional development, job shadowing, study visits, and participation in workshops or seminars; the preparation and evaluation of mobility activities; the development of joint publications; and the initiation of externally funded projects. Student mobility focuses on individual research projects and work related to doctoral studies, dissertations, or laboratory work, utilizing a mobility simulator for personal research purposes (at the University of Kassel). For doctoral students, the program emphasizes the creation of joint publications and the initiation of externally funded projects.

To date, inter-institutional agreements (IIAs) have been signed with the following universities:

Over the past two years, the department has hosted 11 students and 26 staff members through Erasmus+ exchange. Inter-Institutional Agreements (IIAs) have been signed with all partner universities listed above.
