Ester Höhle is a doctoral student at INCHER. From February 2010 to the end of 2012 and in 2017 she was employed as a research assistant at INCHER. She was responsible for the quantitative data analysis and interpretation in the EUROAC project (DFG, ESF). Also, she worked in the project "Wissenschaft für Fortgeschrittene" (funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science), a meta-analysis about the professional careers of doctorate holders. She received a scholarship by the Hans Böckler Foundation and worked on the climate survey of the University of Kassel. Since 2019 she has been working at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in a third-party funded project on career paths in science management.
Ester has studied Sociology, Anglistics and Philosophy at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. From 2007 to 2009, she worked as a research assistant in the research area Gender Studies in Engineering at the Technische Universität München (TUM), Germany. Her research projects focused on women in MINT subjects. Prior to that, she worked at the University of Stuttgart, University of Hohenheim and the Centre of Technology Assessment/Stuttgart in different projects. Her main fields of research are: educational research and higher education research, gender and social structure theory.
