Concept of Free Prior Informed Consent (FPIC), its relevance in the present context, FPIC for protecting rights of indigenous/tribal people, FPIC implementation in global context and grounding of FPIC in mineral rich tribal areas where mining and displacement is inevitable. Tribal activists and community leaders were focused during the interaction. In these workshops action plan to take forward in their respective regions were worked out as follow up action on ground.
