You are cordially invited to attend INCHER’s first research colloquium of the summer semester on April 15

This Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., we will kick off our summer semester colloquium series and welcome Dr. Alberto Corsini, who will give a presentation on “Structuring Doctoral Programs: More Control, Better Results?”

Meet us at the 3rd floor at INCHER (room 3106) or join us via Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent upon request to koch@incher.uni-kassel.de.

Dr. Alberto Corsini from the Spanish National Research Council, Institute of Public Goods and Policies, Madrid, will give a presentation based on a research assessing the impact of a policy change in doctoral education introduced in Spain in 2011 (Royal Decree 99/2011), which, among other things, imposed a mandatory maximum duration for Spanish doctoral programs and increased controls at the institutional level. The analysis suggests that the legislative change appears to have had a positive impact on the productivity of those doctoral students who enrolled after its implementation.
