Project Description
Agriculture remains the backbone of West Africa’s economy, employing two-thirds of the population and contributing on average to about 35% to the GDP. Despite growth potential amid rising population and urbanization, challenges like youth unemployment, mismatched skills, and outdated education persist. PREPARE addresses these by fostering North-South-South partnerships to implement pre-incubation structures at agricultural faculties. It is offering entrepreneurial education through extra-curricular course offers for teacher-researchers and students, and creating synergies with public-private stakeholders. Key focus areas include sustainable agricultural practices, innovation, and market-oriented research to mitigate ecological, economic and political disruptions.
