Project Overview
The PREPARE project aims to establish robust university partnerships in West Africa to foster sustainable and equitable development in agriculture. Led by the University of Kassel (Germany) in collaboration with the universities of Abomey-Calavi (Benin), Abdou Moumouni (Niger), and Daniel-Ouezzin Coulibaly (Burkina Faso), it builds on the ongoing Pro-RUWA (African Excellence initiative) project. By addressing “ivory tower” education structures, PREPARE focuses on preparing youth for professional integration and entrepreneurship in agriculture through high-quality education, capacity building, and pre-incubation programs. The project contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2 (Zero Hunger), 4 (Quality Education), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
