Returning the CampusCard
For students
You do not have to hand in your CampusCard with your application for de-registration. The CampusCard can still be used as a wallet (e.g. in the canteen) and, under certain circumstances, as a regional user card (library card).
Your library account will be deleted when you leave the university, unless
still has open transactions. The student ID card and semester ticket imprints will be removed upon re-validation.
The Registrar's Office may request the card if the student ID for the next semester is already printed on it.
If you still have remaining credit on your CampusCard, you will need to apply for a payout from the Studierendenwerk. You can find information on this further down on the website.
For employees
Please return the card to the IT Help Desk if you no longer plan to use it as a regional user ID (library card) or as a payment card (e.g., in the cafeteria). Your access privileges will be deleted after you leave the university.
Your library account will be scheduled for deletion upon leaving the university, provided there are no outstanding transactions at
You may also return the card by mail or internal mail. Address: University of Kassel, IT Service Center, CampusCard, Mönchebergstr. 11, 34109 Kassel
If you still have a remaining balance on your CampusCard, you must request a refund from the Studierendenwerk. You can find more information about this further down on the website.
