eCampus (campus management / student portal)


From February 20 to March 9, 2026, the examination and grade administration of all degree programs will be converted to a new eCampus software version. During this period, eCampus and HIS will be unavailable and processing by students and staff will not be possible.

Field of application

The eCampus is used for the central administration and organization of all study-related processes at the University of Kassel. This includes, in particular, admission to studies, student administration, event planning and the organization of examinations and achievements.

Who is it suitable for?

The service is aimed at all members of the university:

  • Students for the administration of their studies

  • Teachers for the organization of courses and examinations

  • Employees in administrative institutions for administrative tasks

Responsibility

Operation and maintenance of the eCampus service is the responsibility of the IT Service Center (ITS) of the University of Kassel.

Description

The eCampus is a web-based portal that connects various HIS systems and provides central functions for university management. Students, lecturers and administrative staff can plan courses, manage examinations, process student matters and maintain personal data on one platform.

Alternatives

The eCampus is the leading system for all student data as well as examination and course data within the scope of the degree program. There is no alternative application for this area at the University of Kassel

Practical examples

Example 1: Students register for their exams in the current semester via eCampus and can view their exam results online.

Example 2: Lecturers maintain their courses in the system, publish registration deadlines and enter the grades after the examination phase.

5. technical requirements

Prerequisites

To use the eCampus, you need an internet-enabled device and an up-to-date web browser (e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Safari). Access is via a secure connection.

Account and login

The eCampus can be accessed via the web portal https://ecampus.uni-kassel.de. You can access it using your personal UniAccount (user name and password), which is assigned when you enrol or are hired.

It is also possible to log in with a temporary applicant account if you are not yet enrolled.

Training

No specific training courses are currently available. However, appropriate training courses will be developed and made available as part of the introduction of EXA. Please refer to the Human Resources Development pages for more information.

Data protection and security

The protection of personal data is ensured by corresponding data protection concepts of the ITS. The system meets the legal requirements of the GDPR.
