Install software

Install software in your own home directory

In many cases, it is possible to install new software in your own user directory. This is then of course only available for this one user, but can be executed by the cluster's servers (even in parallel).

Install software in group resource

You can install software in a so-called group resource, which can then also be used by your colleagues. When applying for the group resource, make sure that you hack in Unix (Linux cluster) as well as Windows under "Access". You can then share the data and programs in the group resource. You should therefore think about how much storage space you want to request.

Have programs installed for all users

You can have new scientific software and updates installed on the nodes of the cluster. This must be compatible with the Linux distribution CentOS 7.

Please submit a request under Contact. It is helpful if you provide information about the software such as size and type of installation medium, type and number of licenses or is there already a license server?

Please bear in mind that this involves some effort for the administrators and that not all requests can be processed.
