Identity and access management enables the administration of digital identities and access to the university's central IT services. It forms the basis for secure and efficient account management.
The service is aimed at students, lecturers, researchers and administrative and technical staff.
The IT Service Center is responsible for the technical support and further development of the IDM system.
2. brief description
The IDM system supports the creation, maintenance and management of user identities. It links personal data with access rights and ensures that university members can access all IT services relevant to them - from email services to campus management and file storage.
There are no internal university alternatives to the central IDM system.
3. main functions
Creation and administration of the UniAccount: Automated allocation of user accounts for new university members.
Administration of CampusCards: Control of the assignment and use of the multifunctional chip card.
Group and role management: Management of group memberships and access to specific applications and resources.
4th deployment scenario
New students automatically receive a UniAccount to use e-mail, Moodle and eCampus services.
Lecturers receive various functions with their CampusCard, such as copying cost centers or access rights to laboratories.

An internet-enabled device and a web browser are all you need to access the IDM portal.

After enrollment or hiring, the access data is automatically generated and provided. Changes, blocks or deletions of accounts are managed centrally in the IDM system.

The IDM system ensures compliance with data protection regulations. All personal data is processed securely. Access to the IDM system's self-service portal is encrypted.
The use of the IDM system is subject to the IT user regulations. Personal data is processed on the basis of legal requirements.
