From the summer semester 2024, the Department of Project Management in Digital Transformation will be offering Project Seminars I and II (3 CP each) for students of mechanical engineering and related departments for the first time.

In these seminars, agile product development methods are taught to enable teams to develop a digital twin and associated services. A smart coffee machine serves as a demonstrator. The project extends over three semesters. It is possible to accompany either just one semester or the entire project (a total of 9 CP over 3 semesters).
Students gain both practical and theoretical knowledge. The curriculum includes the development of Internet of Things-based solutions (project module I), the potential and possible applications of digital twins (project module II) and the development of product-service systems (project module III, from winter semester 2024/2025).
