Our courses in the summer semester 2024

In the summer semester, our department offers five diverse teaching modules(short video overview of the semester). The subjects are interdisciplinary and can be taken by students from all degree programs at the University of Kassel (e.g. can be taken as a key competence):

  1. Project management 2: Change through projects (3 CP)
    • A must for all future project managers! The subject is suitable as a continuation of PM1, but can also be taken without previous experience. We examine practical and elementary topics of project management, including change management, stakeholder management, resource management, agile PM concepts, leadership in projects, etc.
    • To the Moodle course
  2. Management of interorganizational relationships (3 CP)
    • Companies are dependent on working together with other organizations in inter-company collaborations, for example in product development, in the management of supply chains, in the context of scaled production and procurement, or also to jointly address future topics relating to digitalization and sustainability. The course is dedicated to forms of cooperation based on scientific findings on characteristics, mechanisms and control approaches.
    • To the moodle course
  3. Seminar "Project management in the digital transformation" (6 CP)
  4. Cases & Debates in Project Management (3 CP, English)
  5. Digital Twin project modules (3 CP each)
    • Using a demonstrator (fully automatic coffee machine), we will get to know a method of agile product development in order to jointly develop a digital twin. This is a project that extends over several semesters. It is possible to follow this process for only one semester or to accompany the entire project (a total of 9 CP over 3 semesters).
    • Limited number of participants, binding registration via QIS
    • To the Moodle course

For our specialized subjects (see 3.-5.) we will offer a joint kick-off event (24.04.2024, 10-12 am, lecture hall 2207 in Kurt-Wolters-Str. 3 at Holländischer Platz.

We wish all students a good start to the summer semester and look forward to seeing you at our events!
