On April 29, 2025 at 4:15 pm in lecture hall 2 (Diagonale 3, room 0509) we will hold our general teaching kick-off, where we will give an overview of all project management modules. This will enable you to make the best choice for you. We have the following modules on offer in the summer semester:

1. project management 2 - digital change through projects (PM 2)

• • Focus on exciting areas of project management, including agile PM, multi-project management, management of collaborations and much more.
  • Perfect introduction to our specialized subjects.
  • Can be taken without prerequisites: i.e. even without having previously taken Project Management 1. However, the logical sequence is PM1 first, then PM2.
  • Highly interdisciplinary course with participants from over 20 degree programs (-> course catalog).

2. management of interorganizational relationships

• • Focus on the management of cooperations, networks and strategic alliances.
  • Cross-industry and cross-sector, as cooperation plays a role everywhere and is sometimes critical to the success of projects.
  • The seminar-style lecture is closely linked to the textbook of the same name and has typical features of a reading course, i.e. working with the textbook is an integral part of the course (-> course catalog).

3. cases & debates in project management and transformation

• • In English; block course.
  • Teaching a scientific-analytical way of working using the example of a current discourse on "sustainability in project management"; dealing with specific tensions and developing solutions.
  • Particularly interesting for advanced students with a solid knowledge of English (-> to HIS registration, limited places!)

4. Research seminar on AI application scenarios

• • Cooperation with the cultural center "Schlachthof" in Kassel.
  • Examination of organizational structures and processes with a view to possible AI application scenarios and digitization potential.
  • Applied project work in a team (-> to HIS registration, limited places!).

5. project modules in our SMART BREW project series

• • Project-based work, directly on the object: The focus is on the digitalization of portafilter espresso machines, their equipment with sensors, actuators and microcontrollers as well as the development of approaches for new business models. The modules (3 CP each) can also be combined

  • Project 1: Agile development of IoT solutions in the smart home sector

  • Project 2: User-centered development of digital twins
    (-> HIS registration, limited places!)
