Nur noch wenige Tage: Öffnungszeiten eingeschränkt

Mit Ungeduld wird von jeder Seite das Ende der lärmintensiven Arbeiten in der Tiefgarage unter der Campusbibliothek erwartet. Die aufwändigen Arbeiten am Estrich - mit großem Gerät zum Ausstemmen und Abfräsen - sind campusweit zu hören, im Gebäude zusätzlich zu spüren und dauern zum Glück nur noch einige Tage.

Die Arbeiten gehen zügig voran und sind im Zeitplan. Das heißt, wir erwarten das Ende der lärmintensiven Phase pünktlich zum 9. September. Ab Samstag, 10. September wird aller Voraussicht nach wieder Normalität einkehren, die Bibliothek wird werktags von 8 bis 23 Uhr und am Wochenende von 10-21 Uhr wie gewohnt die Türen öffnen.

Bis dahin hoffen wir weiterhin auf Ihr Verständnis für die gravierende Einschränkung. Wir sahen in Abstimmung mit der Bauleitung und den ausführenden Firmen keine andere Möglichkeit als diese fünfwöchige  „Lärmbauphase“ im August vorzusehen, um einen schnellen Baufortschritt zu erreichen. Dies scheint zu gelingen – und dem Start ins Wintersemester schauen wir nun freudig entgegen. Bis dahin nutzen Sie tagsüber die Lernflächen in unseren anderen fünf Standorte der UB – wir haben Platz für Sie.

Wegen der Sanierung der Tiefgarage unter der Campusbibliothek gestaltet sich die Zugänglichkeit von Beständen und Lernraum noch bis 9. September 2022 folgendermaßen:

Montag - Freitag:

12.00 - 14.00 Uhr für kurzzeitigen Aufenthalt zur Ausleihe und Rückgabe von Medien geöffnet (lärmintensiver Zeitraum)

18.00 - 23.00 Uhr für Ausleihe, Rückgabe und reguläre Nutzung inklusive aller Lernplätze geöffnet

18.00 - 19.30 Uhr Persönliche Beratung an der Servicetheke 

Samstag - Sonntag:

10.00 - 21.00 Uhr für Ausleihe, Rückgabe und reguläre Nutzung inklusive aller Lernplätze geöffnet

Die Lernplätze in den anderen fünf Bibliotheksstandorten stehen alternativ zur Verfügung. Auskunft und Beratung werden telefonisch, per Mail und virtuell angeboten.

Campus Library open ONLY in the evenings and on weekends

The end of the noisy work in the underground car park under the campus library is awaited with impatience from all sides. The extensive work on the screed - with large equipment for chiseling and milling - can be heard across the campus, can also be felt in the building and will fortunately only last a few more days.

The work is progressing quickly and is on schedule. This means that we expect the end of the noisy phase on time on 9. September. As of Saturday, 10. September, normality will most likely return and the library will open its doors as usual from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

Until then, we continue to hope for your understanding for the serious restriction. In consultation with the construction management and the contractors, we saw no other option than to provide for this five-week "noise construction phase" in August in order to achieve rapid construction progress. This seems to have succeeded - and we are now looking forward to the start of the winter semester. Until then, use the study areas in our other five UB locations during the day - we have space for you.

Due to the renovation of the underground car park underneath the campus library, access to the collections and learning space will be as follows until 9. September 2022:

Monday - Friday:

noon - 2 p.m. open for short stays for borrowing and returning media (noisy period).

6 p.m. - 11 p.m. open for borrowing, returning and regular use including all learning spaces

6 p.m. - 7.30 p.m. Personal consultation at the service desk

Saturday - Sunday:

10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Open for borrowing, returning and regular use including all learning spaces.

The learning spaces in the other five library locations are available as an alternative. Information and advice is available by telephone, e-mail and virtually.
