The Staatstheater Kassel and the Kassel University Library are setting a special accent in the cultural life of the city with their new cooperation. As part of the theater tour "Ulysses - An Odyssey through Kassel" , James Joyce's famous novel will be staged in several extraordinary locations.

Inspired by Ulysses' odyssey, the novel tells the story of a single day in Dublin; Bert Zander's production transfers this structure to Kassel: during the performance, the ensemble is on the move live at various locations in the city.

One highlight is the performance in the historic Landes- und Murhardsche Bibliothek.

The premiere will take place on Friday, March 20, followed by further performances until June. Among other things, the project invites you to rediscover the city and its institutions.

Further information and dates can be found on the website of the Kassel State Theater.
