The State Library is the oldest part of the Kassel University Library. Its history dates back to the 16th century. The special collections and the Hassiaca subject area jointly look after the historical heritage of the old Kassel State Library [Read more].

Due to extensive inventory relocations, the Brüder-Grimm-Platz location will be closed from December 1 to December 9 2025.
