Subject of the loan agreement: Tablet incl. sleeve and keyboard

The tablet can be borrowed and returned at the service desk of the Murhard Library during the opening hours: Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The tablet can be borrowed for a maximum of one day. An extension of the loan period is not possible. At the end of the period, the tablet must be returned in proper and complete condition. It is not possible to return the tablet after the service desk has closed. If the loan period is exceeded, a reminder procedure will be carried out in accordance with ยง 20 of the usage regulations.

The tablet must be handled carefully and in accordance with its intended use. Passing it on to third parties is prohibited.

Before the tablet is handed over, it has been checked and is handed over for use without any defects. Defects detected before and during use must be reported to the library immediately. Self-help is not allowed.

If the tablet is returned dirty, in a damaged or altered condition, users shall bear the costs for restoring the tablet to its contractual condition. In the event of irreparable damage or loss of the device, users shall bear the full cost of a new purchase. In addition, a handling fee of 15 euros will be charged.

For data protection reasons, the tablets are operated exclusively in a managed guest session. After logging out of the session, the data is automatically deleted.

When using the tablet, the relevant legal regulations, in particular copyright and criminal law regulations, must be observed. Calling up services that are harmful to minors or illegal is prohibited.

The UB Kassel excludes any liability for the backup of personal data and for defective hardware or software as well as defective software installations.

The EZB contains freely accessible as well as licensed journals of the University of Kassel. You will find an entry via the subject area, as well as several filter and search options.

The Database Information System (DBIS) provides you with a list of freely accessible newspapers, both nationwide and internationally.
