Module evaluation

Module evaluation procedure

  • To ensure the studyability of all degree programs, the University of Kassel regularly evaluates modules. A mandatory component is a workload survey in which students are asked about their workload. This is done at least once during the duration of a reaccreditation (7 years). It should also be checked whether the learning objectives within the modules can be achieved with the selected module structure and whether the teaching of module-specific competencies is successful.
  • The concrete design of the implementation is the responsibility of those responsible for the study program. To support the departments, the central university administration provides a standardized, paper-based evaluation procedure.
  • The questionnaires are prepared by employees of the central university administration according to the specifications of the study program managers. The department distributes and collects the questionnaires. Evaluation and report generation are carried out centrally.
  • The regular implementation of the surveys is anchored in the evaluation statutes of the University of Kassel. The central university administration is responsible for organization and evaluation.
