Organic Computing Techniques for Runtime Self-Adaption of Multi-Modal Activity Recognition Systems

The DFG-prject "Organic Computing Techniques for Runtime Self-Adaption of Multi-Modal Activity Recognition Systems" aims at providing new techniques for leveraging new sources of Information.

In the Overall field of Activity Recognition (AR), Multi Sensor Systems still are a challenging Research Topic.

Within this Project we aim at incorporationg sources of information, that were unknown to the System at design time.

Such System should have an increased robustness, as failed sensors will realize a Self-healing property of AR Systems.

Another important Point is Self-improvement, as the System Performance can be improved with Fitting sensor selection strategies.

This ultimately results in the realization of Self-improvement property of Systems.
