ECE - History

History of the Master Program "Electrical Communication Engineering"

The Master of  Science Electrical Communication Engineering (ECE)  program started in 1998 as one of the first international English postgraduate degree programs in Germany and was supported by DAAD under the Master Plus initiative.

Revisions of the exam regulations took place in 2001 and in 2004 the ECE program was accredited by ZEVA. In 2008 ASIIN reaccredited the program as a research-oriented Master course with modularized curriculum.

Since the start of the program students from all over the world have successfully been trained, many of whom have achieved their PhD in the meantime.
