Christmas tournament week

For several years now, the General University Sports Department has been organizing the popular Christmas Tournament Week in the last week of lectures before Christmas.

Over 80 teams compete in disciplines such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, badminton, roundnet, dodgeball and ultimate frisbee, with both club and amateur players competing in exciting rounds to determine the indoor champions of the University of Kassel. Every year, this shows anew that sporting competition continues to be highly attractive among students and that sporting activity is still a central part of student life as a welcome balance to everyday student life.

However, sport not only provides a welcome balance to everyday student life, it also brings people together.
The Christmas tournament week reaches its social climax at the athletes' party, which traditionally takes place after the volleyball tournament with cool drinks, delicious cocktails and hot music in the foyer of the Aueparkhalle until the early hours of the morning.
