Application Process
General Notes on Application and Registration
To participate in all programmes, you need conditional admission from the University of Kassel for the next possible semester.
Application:
You can apply for all DSH courses, but you cannot register directly. An application does not mean that you have been accepted for a course or examination. After applying, applicants will either receive a rejection (no registration possible) or an acceptance with all information about the registration.
Registration:
With a confirmation of registration you will receive a link for your online registration. Registration and payment must be made by the registration deadline. Registrations are only valid with proof of fees paid. As the number of places available is limited, early registration is recommended. Please note the registration deadlines and closing date. As there is usually a great deal of interest, registration can also end earlier if all places are taken.
Application for DSH Offers
1.Application for a Study Place
In order to apply for the courses and examinations of DSH programmes you need to have a conditional admission to the University of Kassel for the next possble semester.

Please note the deadlines for the application and take into consideration that the application process takes several weeks.
2.Applying for a Place in a course or examination in the DSH programme
To apply for a place in the DSH examination, the training course/intensive course, the entrance test or the study and DSH-preparatory German courses, write an e-mail to dsh-dsh-deutschkurse[at]uni-kassel[dot]de. Please explain in the e-mail which offer you would like to apply for and include a scan of your conditional admission to the University of Kassel. Please also send all documents showing that you meet the requirements.
3.Review of your Application
When we have received your e-mail with all the documents, we will check those documents. After checking the documents, we will give you feedback whether we need further documents and whether you meet the requirements.
4.Acceptance or Rejection
You will receive an e-mail informing you whether your application for a place in one of the DSH offers was successful or not.
Acceptance: You will receive a registration link from us by e-mail and you should register as soon as possible and before the deadline. You will also receive a link for a Paypal payment. Please also pay the required fee as soon as possible.
Rejection: If you do not meet the requirements, we unfortunately have to reject your application. If any documents are still missing, we will ask you to submit them and the process will start again at step 3 "Review of your Application".
You can only participate in the offers (DSH examinaton, entrance test, courses) once you have completed the registration and paid the fee.
5.Completing the Registration
After you have completed the registration and paid the fee via Paypal, you will receive a registration confirmation.
Congratulations! You now have a place in the offer you have chosen.
