LLukas

You learn how to research during your studies and the qualification phase - but not how to teach. You can do that! Or can you?

If you are interested in experiencing and expanding your own teaching skills in a collegial setting, then our "LLukas" higher education didactic training program is the right thing for you.

LLukas stands for Lehr-LernkompetenzenUniversitätKassel.

We give you the space and time to systematically deal with the individual issues of your teaching. You are not alone, but accompanied by colleagues.

We all research and teach. Bringing together the best of both worlds. This is important to us at LLukas and means supporting you in the implementation of research-oriented teaching.

We offer the program for academic staff with teaching duties, teaching staff for special tasks and, for the first time, lecturers at the University of Kassel. Professors at the University of Kassel are very welcome!

A cohort of six or more professors can be offered exclusively.

The program is divided into two consecutive stages with a duration of one semester and a workload of 3 and 2 credits. The program is scheduled to start at the beginning of the winter and summer semesters of each year.

In a professional context, it is important to have a qualified, relevant certificate of achievement. You can obtain the Certificate in Higher Education Didactics in Hesse within one year with a workload of 5 credits after completing level 2.

The LLukas program levels are spread over a period of one semester and consist of 3 and 2 credits. Level 1 can be started in a fixed group (cohort, maximum of twelve participants) in March and September of each year.

This basic qualification is the basis and prerequisite for participating in the second stage of LLukas.

The second stage also starts at the beginning of each semester. Participation in stage 2 can be chosen according to personal scheduling considerations and does not have to immediately follow the first stage. In this stage, students are divided into fixed small groups of a maximum of six participants.

You will work on your own course and a section of it throughout. This "teaching project" represents your individual thread through the course. You can document and evaluate your individual skills development formatively and summatively in a digital teaching portfolio. The digital teaching portfolio also offers the possibility of publication in different contexts and scopes. A presentation and discussion as a final achievement in the group is one of these possibilities. The e-portfolio is also conceivable as an application document in appointment procedures.

In our valuable attendance time (group), we focus on transfer, application, feedback, rehearsals, peer observation and exchange.

The cost per level is 225 euros. Only employees of the University of Kassel who work in university teaching can participate. Further training agreements have been concluded with most Faculties and subject areas for academic staff.

With your Uni Account you can request participation in an event via the announcements below. You will then receive a confirmation of receipt by e-mail.
