With a Basic Membership, you can sign up for all courses in the general course program, such as ball sports, martial arts, dance, gymnastics, running, and rock climbing.

Good to know

• The fee is always debited via SEPA direct debit at the beginning of each month. If that day falls on a weekend or a holiday, the fee will be debited on the following business day.
• Minimum term: 1 month (automatically renewed for one month unless canceled)
• Cancellation: with two weeks’ notice to the end of the month
• Friends of the Association members can take all Basic Courses even without a Basic Membership.

With the Fit & Gesund Card, you can participate in all fitness and health classes—such as yoga, Pilates, Zumba, or indoor cycling—as well as the digital program #UniKasselVersitätStaysFit. Basic membership is already included, so you can also sign up for all basic classes. The Fit & Gesund Card is also valid for the ErgoFit class.

The Water Sports Pass is your ticket to the University of Kassel’s paddling and rowing area on the Fulda River. The boathouse at Auedamm 27a, which opened in 2016, has a large fleet of rowing boats and kayaks. From beginner classes to competitive racing, there’s something for everyone. Basic membership is already included, so you can also sign up for all basic courses.

• Monthly pass: Minimum term of 1 month; thereafter, it renews automatically each month.
• Annual pass: Minimum term of 12 months; thereafter, it renews automatically each month.

• In winter, weather conditions may lead to restrictions on course operations. In such cases, we’ll offer alternative water sports-related courses whenever possible, such as indoor rowing.

The following applies to all water sports activities:

• You must always follow the instructors’ instructions.
• You must be able to swim safely in open water.
• On the water, you must keep to the right.

Located in the Institute for Sports and Sports Science building,UNIfit offers a full range of fitness services in a 350 m² training area.UNIfit is a service provided by UNI:Sport for students and employees of the University of Kassel. Members of the “Freunde des Kasseler Hochschulsports e. V.” support association, cooperation partners, and guests are also welcome. AllUNIfit membership plans include basic membership. Good to Know

• A one-time registration fee of 10.00 € is due upon signing the contract. If you sign up for a training package, this fee will be fully credited toward it.
• A trial workout is free. Just stop by during opening hours.
• You can sign up in person atUNIfit (Damaschkestr. 25, green building of the Institute for Sports and Sports Science) or online.
• Hours: Monday through Friday 8 a.m.–10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.UNIfit is closed on holidays.

As a member of the “Friends of Kassel University Sports” support association, you can participate in all courses in the general course program and receive member rates for the Fit & Gesund Card, the Water Sports Card, and theUNIfit rates. You can register online or in person at the UNI:Sport office.

You can register online starting on the dates listed below. In person, registration is available during the office’s business hours: Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m.–1 p.m. After registering, you’ll receive an access card. Be sure to bring it—and your student ID, if applicable—to all your classes.
