Computer Pool

On this page you will find all important information about renting the pool room (WISO C Room 1220) in the Department 01 Human Sciences.

Equipment

The room is designed for courses with a maximum of 19 participants.
In addition, the room can be rented for video conferences with a maximum of six participants.

The following licensed software is available on all computers:
- MAXQDA
- SPSS
- Citavi
- Zoom
- Microsoft Office
- Adobe Reader

Furthermore available:
R, Notepad++ as well as standard applications like web browsers.

Important information:
When a user logs in for the first time with his university account on a pool room PC, the PC should be restarted once afterwards so that all programs are displayed.

If you need additional software, let us know ahead of time.

Room booking

The room can be reserved via Exchange.
This is possible via Outlook or the Outlook webclient of the university, the webclient can be reached under Outlook Web.
Instructions for the respective platform are available for download in PDF format.

The reservation will be checked and confirmed by the IT support.
You will receive a confirmation by mail as soon as the reservation is completed.

When making the reservation, please inform us which licensed software (MAXQDA, SPSS) you need for the course.


Handover of keys

Key delivery varies depending on whether the reservation is one-time or recurring.

Key delivery for one-time reservation:
You can pick up the pair of keys to the pool room on the same day or one day before the reserved date. The drop off will be done within the same time window on the same way. If the drop-off is not possible in person, it will be done through the mailbox on the third floor.

Pick-up/drop-off is possible within the following time windows:

Mon - Thurs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.


Key transfer for repeating reservation:
For a repeating reservation, you must request a pair of keys from the key depository.
