Ticket System

We are the contact for employees regarding all IT issues that affect your computer.
In the event of a fault, please first check the current messages from the faculty and the IT service center.

You can send us your request by e-mail it-servicefb01@uni-kassel.de. It will be recorded and processed here or forwarded to the responsible department.
If you work at the Department of Psychology, you are welcome to send your request directly to it-ifp@uni-kassel.de.

Please always include your complete name, your UniAccount and a description of the problem as detailed as possible in the mail.

Setting up your business computer

If a service device (stand PC or laptop) is already available at your new workplace, please contact us so that we can set it up for you. If you do not find a device or if you need a new acquisition, we will be happy to advise you on the possibilities within the framework agreement of the University of Kassel. The configuration will be done in such a way that you take over a fully administered device by us. This means that you do not have to carry out any updates, installations or maintenance, as this is regularly automated. The advantage of this is that you receive full support from us and the security of your data is guaranteed.

Under certain conditions, we can provide you with a self-administered service device upon request, in consultation with the IT department of the department.

The ITS allows access to the university network via WLAN (Eduroam) and LAN:

With your university account you get access to network drives of the department and also get a personal drive, which only you can see. Saving on network drives is a prerequisite for your data security.

The Hessenbox is a cloud-based sync&share system of the Hessian university landscape. To use this service you have to register here:

At the University of Kassel, Microsoft Office, Zoom or virus programs, for example, can be installed free of charge on your private computers and mobile devices.

Our service is aimed at all employees (including support staff) of FB01 - Human Sciences. You can contact us for the following:

  • Network connection of IT devices, network sockets and malfunctions
  • Computer and software installations from the framework contract, data migration in case of equipment replacement, as well as equipment discarding
  • Assistance in setting up central IT services
  • Workplace briefings
  • Outlook Exchange users
  • Wireless network (WLAN) and external university network access (VPN)
  • IT consulting
