Setting up your business computer

If a service device (stand PC or laptop) is already available at your new workplace, please contact us so that we can set it up for you. If you do not find a device or if you need a new acquisition, we will be happy to advise you on the possibilities within the framework agreement of the University of Kassel. The configuration will be done in such a way that you take over a fully administered device by us. This means that you do not have to carry out any updates, installations or maintenance, as this is regularly automated. The advantage of this is that you receive full support from us and the security of your data is guaranteed.

Under certain conditions, we can provide you with a self-administered service device upon request, in consultation with the IT department of the department.

At the University of Kassel, Microsoft Office, Zoom or virus programs, for example, can be installed free of charge on your private computers and mobile devices.
