Body, action, and representation from the south
The purpose of the seminar is to explore the production of collaborative artistic processes from the Global South that are based on the body-action-representation dynamic. Through the review of theoretical texts, specific case studies, and practical experiences, the course will address processes where the notion of the collective body is the protagonist. It will place a special emphasis on the role of sound, listening, and orality in these processes, viewing them as paradigms of ephemeral action that allow for the transmission of knowledge and the articulation of memory.
