Knowledge exchange with the University of Göttingen launched

As part of the cooperation between the University of Kassel and the University of Göttingen, the two students Marcel Krug and Thomas Strippel attended the seminar Training Science Performance Diagnostics with Prof. Dr. Gerd Thienes and Dr. Christian Trümper at the University of Göttingen in the summer semester of 2012. The two students were the first two to take advantage of the cooperation offer this semester. The aims of the course were the comparative discussion, analysis and testing of methods of training science performance diagnostics. Among other things, the basics of ability and performance diagnostics (procedures, test theory models, tasks and objectives of diagnostics) were discussed in the course. As part of the seminar, Marcel Krug carried out lactate performance diagnostics on his fellow student Thomas Strippel in order to explain and demonstrate the performance diagnostics procedure to his fellow students in Göttingen. For both of them, the seminar in Göttingen was a great enrichment to their studies. We drove over 100 kilometers there and back from our home every Wednesday, but the experience we gained was priceless! reflected Thomas Strippel. The successful start to the exchange of knowledge between Göttingen and Kassel gives hope for further good cooperation between the two sports institutes.
