Location

Kassel, the capital of Northern Hesse, is located in the center of Germany.

For your travel to Kassel from abroad you may use flights to Frankfurt International Airport from where you take a train to Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe train station.

During your stay in Kassel, there are visits planned to various museums in the city and it‘s famous Unesco World Heritage Mountain Parc with Wilhelmshöhe Castle. The beautiful Karlsaue Parc with the Organerie is located right nearby the Kassel Sports Institute where classes take place.

Kassel was the home of Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm the collectors of World famous the Grimm‘s Fairytales. Moreover, their work on German language had a lasting effect on artistic developments in Germany and Europe. The brothers Grimm spent a large part of their lives in Kassel. The city hosts approximately 195,000 inhabitants and is known for it’s beautiful parcs and the documenta - the world’s largest exhibition of contemporary art.
