Vom stadtregionalen Konzept zur stadtregionalen Governancestruktur

Vergleichende Analyse von Stadtregionen

Welchen Einfluss haben informelle (marktliche und diskursive) Instrumente in der Raumentwicklung auf die Evolution von regionalen Governancestrukturen und Planungspraktiken in verschiedenen Stadtregionstypen? Diese Frage steht im Fokus des Projektes. 

Regionale Governancestrukturen, in denen Raumentwicklung durch Politik und Planung gesteuert wird, verändern sich im Zeitverlauf durch neue Herausforderungen (bspw. aufgrund des regionalen Standortwettbewerbs). Auch Planungspraktiken, bspw. in der regionalen Siedlungsplanung, verändern sich.

Im Projekt wird untersucht, welchen Einfluss Förderprogramme und räumliche Leitbilder auf die Veränderung von Governancestrukturen und regionaler Siedlungsplanung in verschiedenen Stadtregionstypen wie Metropolregionen, grenzüberschreitenden Metropolregionen und Regiopolregionen haben.
