The aim of the project is to optimize growing media in terms of nutrient uptake and limiting disease pressure on young plants (1. strawberry crops, 2. leek crops, 3. pelargonium, 4. poinsettia crops) and with soil-borne pathogens by inoculation with mycorrhizal fungi. The user safety and the basis for availability of already characterized and novel mycorrhizal inocula and strains will be broadened and improved. In the first step, mycorrhizal strains will be propagated. Advanced functional tests will be performed with the strains and standard inoculum selected in the first step. The superelite strains will then result from this step. In the third step, a seedling cultivation system is established in a pilot phase on farms, using the best strains from the second step.
