The impact of the food system approach on food system governance in Germany and the EU

Background: In recent years the EU propagated a food system approach to policy making concerning agriculture, environment and health, among others. This is captured not least in the Farm to Fork strategy. This document is to set the agenda across various policy fields in the EU. Gradually, the regulatory projects involved into the strategy are implemented.

Aim: to evaluate the effect of the Farm to Fork strategy and its mode of implementation on the European policy making process in regard to agriculture. This concerns process and contents and its instrumental value to realize certain initiatives.
