The transformative potential of donors’ work on agroecology in the Global South

Background: For some years now, many donors promote agroecology in the Global South through their various interventions. However, agroecology can be many things, a political movement or an agricultural practice, an agenda for governance or science. Thus, perceptions and understandings of agroecology need to be taken stock of. Also, agroecology aims to contribute to transition and transformation.

Aim: This work aims to take stock of donors work on agroecology in the global South. Further, it aims to understand the perceptions of donors in regard to agroecology. Finally, it aims to assess the role of the transformational potential of donors work and approaches in relation to the food system.
