At https://www.uni-kassel.de/go/, authors with a UniAccount can define any redirects of the form www.uni-kassel.de/go/kuerzel themselves and have them displayed on other pages in the UniNet. However, there is one restriction: abbreviations can only be used once. So if the address www.uni-kassel.de/kuerzel already exists, it will no longer be available and you will have to use a different abbreviation.

For example: www.uni-kassel.de/go/its cannot be used as www.uni-kassel.de/its already exists. However, the redirect www.uni-kassel.de/go/itsd could be used.

Tip for Typo3
If you change the page titles of your web pages in Typo3, the address path of the "speaking URL" (the web page you are currently editing) will also change and links to this page that have already been set up will become invalid. Addresses with an ID are less susceptible: If you call up the corresponding page in the Typo3 backend using the "Show page" function, the unique address of the page with the page ID is displayed. This address is not affected by path changes.
