The next.hessenbox is available to all students and employees of the University of Kassel. The only requirement is a UniAccount.
You can use next.hessenbox via the browser or via the corresponding client. You can find information on this under Access to next.hessenbox.
By default, 50GB of storage is available per user. If you require more storage space, you can request this using our online form .
The next.hessenbox will replace the Hessenbox on July 15, 2025. The operation of the Hessenbox will then be discontinued!
Once the old Hessenbox has ceased operation, the data stored there will no longer be available. We therefore recommend that you migrate your data to the next.hessenbox as soon as possible.
The invitation links for guest accounts in the Hessenbox are only valid for 24 hours.
If the activation link is used after this time has expired, this error message appears.
How to proceed in this case:
1. Go to the page < https://next.hessenbox.de/index.php/login?direct=1 >.
2Click on "Forgot your password?".
3. Enter the e-mail address with which you were invited.
4. Click on "Reset password".
5. You will receive a new link by e-mail, which you can use to set the password and activate the account.
