Catalogue cards

When searching for books in KARLA you may come across hits in the form of a catalogue card. These originate from the former card catalogues of the university library. and are almost always holdings of the State Library and Murhard Library at Brüder-Grimm-Platz.

You can order these items via the Internal Loan Service by entering a "35" in the "shelf mark" field of the order form and then adding the shelf mark displayed on the card. You will find this shelf mark either in the upper or in the lower right-hand corner of the card.

In these cases a book number is not required.

If the details on the catalogue card are difficult to read, you can enlarge these by clicking on them.

Books from the Prince of Waldeck's Court Library at Bad Arolsen can be studied either at the Special Collections reading room at Brüder-Grimm-Platz or on site in the library at Bad Arolsen. Their catalogue cards can be recognized by the FWHB abbreviation in the shelf mark.
