Onleihe 3: New functions from February 11, 2026

On February 11, 2026, the eBibliotheken Hessen will switch to the new Onleihe 3 version. This changeover will provide you with numerous new functions, including extending the loan period, cross-media early returns, an unlimited notepad, individual personal settings and much more.

The Hesse eLibraries provide detailed information on their website about the new features and what you should look out for to ensure a smooth transition.

What is the Onleihe?

The digital media portal "Onleihe" offers a large selection of e-books, e-audios (music and audio books), e-videos, e-papers, e-journals and e-learning courses. As a member of eBibliotheken Hessen, Kassel University Library enables all users with a valid library card to use this service free of charge.
