Course reserves

Course reserves are thematic collections of media for individual courses. They are displayed together in the library for a limited time and cannot be checked out during that period. Faculty members at the University of Kassel can set up course reserves for their courses.

  • New course collections can be requested using a form.
  • Please list the desired books in the form under “Volumes to be Added.”
  • For liability reasons, it is not possible to include media from other libraries (interlibrary loans).
  • The library assumes no liability for the display of media and materials from private collections.
  • The form contains more detailed information on setting up course reserves.

To avoid long wait times, please compile your course reserve as early as possible, ideally two to three weeks before the start of classes.

You will be notified two weeks before the course reserve is due to be removed and may request an extension of its duration. If no extension request is submitted, the library will remove the course reserves after the specified period has expired.

If you have any further questions, you can reach us by phone at 804-7111, by email at info[at]bibliothek.uni-kassel[dot]de, or at our service desks.
