The library of Rabbi Dr. Isaac Prager (1847-1905) is part of the historic old collection of the Murhard Library of the City of Kassel. It entered their collection as early as 1906. more

Yeshayah Horoṿits: Sefer shene luḥot ha-brit. - Amsterdam: Atias, 5458 [1698].

Shelf mark: Rabbinica 509 Summary: Yeshayah Horoṿits (born c. 1555 in Prague, died c. 1630 in Safed) was a rabbinic scholar and kabbalist. He held rabbinical posts in several Jewish centers in Europe, including Frankfurt am Main and Prague. Shene luḥot ha-brit, abbreviated SheLaH, is his major work. Yeshayah Horoṿits is usually called SheLaH or the holy SheLaH after this work. Shene luḥot ha-brit is an encyclopedia of the religious ideas of Judaism. It was a widely used popular religious book.

Eliezer ben Elijah Ashkenazi: Gedolim maʿaśe H. - Hag: Zusmans, 5537 [1777].

Summary: Eliezer ben Elijah Ashkenazi (born 1513 in Egypt, died 1585 in Cracow) was a rabbi, physician, and poet. Among other positions, he was rabbi in Fustat and provincial rabbi in Posen. The work Gedolim maʿaśe H(Maʿaśe ha-Shem) includes explanations of the historical content of the Torah and a commentary on the Pesaḥ-Hagadah. Shelf mark: Rabbinica 2047 Summary of content: sermons of Tsevi Hirsh ben Yehudah Leyb from Wodzisław (lived in the 18th century). Torah with Aramaic translations

Summary: Under the shelfmark Rabbinica 511 is a complete set of all five books of the Torah with Aramaic translations(Targum Onḳelos, Targum Yonatan ben ʿUziʾel, Targum Yerushalmi) and various commentaries (Rashi, Rashbam, Baʿal ha-Ṭurim, Ibn Ezra). None of the books has a title page; presumably they come from four different editions.

This volume is the book ṿa-Yiḳra (Leviticus).
