In libraries, museums and research institutions

The central tool for indexing bequests in libraries, museums and research institutions is the KALLIOPE database, which is maintained by the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin. The database also contains archival holdings. It developed from the former 'Central Index of Autographs' (ZKA). The holdings listed here have been completely transferred to KALLIOPE and can be searched there. In addition, there are data from printed and unprinted supra-regional directories, which have been converted by the Kalliope office, as well as other institutions, which currently incorporate and maintain their data in Kalliope.
