Superteam and Awards Ceremony

Today we headed to the event hall very early again so that Samed and Moritz could work on the Superteam challenge for as long as possible. Things went well for us—everything worked perfectly on the BioBrause side. However, the Australians didn’t finish their code until the very last minute, which is why they immediately ran into a bug and we basically had to work without them. It was actually enough to secure third place in the Superteam Challenge.
Afterward, we tried playing soccer, which worked surprisingly well because we simply collected the ball and carried it to the goal; we could just push the other robots aside.
At the awards ceremony, we also found out that, in addition to second place, we received the “Outstanding Innovation” award, which we’re very honored to have received.
The Brazilian teams had invited us to go out to eat together, but we ended up leaving early because they didn’t really have a clue where to go, and they’d settled on a restaurant that served nothing but meat dishes. At least that gave us some time to explore the mall where we’d met up.
Tomorrow is the Booster programming session—we’re really looking forward to it.
