Seoul, Day 4

Today was one of the highlights of our stay in Seoul: a visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace. For the occasion, we rented traditional hanbok attire and then walked through the palace and the surrounding buildings under the blazing sun. We were able to not only admire the historic architecture but also marvel at a very early electric power generator.

After changing back into our everyday clothes, we drove to Lotte Tower—the sixth-tallest building in the world. Since we didn’t pay the admission fee, we unfortunately only made it up to the 12th floor.

After that, it was time to head back to our lodging and pack our bags for tomorrow’s trip to Busan.
