Christmas tournament week 2023

The week began on Monday with an exciting soccer tournament in the Aueparkhalle and an equally captivating round-robin tournament in the task-Halle. The spectators witnessed exciting games and a hard-fought final that kept the excitement going until the very last minute.

The dodgeball tournament took place on Tuesday, where participants were able to put their skills to the test in the professional and amateur rounds after the group phase. The fans they brought along, who created an excellent atmosphere with their cheering, were an essential part of this day.

On Wednesday evening, the week continued with a table tennis tournament and a badminton tournament in the Aueparkhalle, where spectators were able to watch fast and fair rallies while enjoying a cool drink or a snack. The matches were of a high quality and the speed and fairness of the games captivated the spectators.

Thursday was probably the busiest day with the volleyball matches, which were admired and cheered on regardless of whether they were professional or amateur. After a short changeover break, the highlight was the athletes' party in the Aueparkhalle. Here, everyone was able to review the past week, discuss the referees' decisions, discuss results and make plans for next year while celebrating the community and team spirit.

We at the sports department would like to thank all the teams who took part, all the helpers who made this wonderful week possible, all the tournament directors who did an excellent job and the entire university sports team who supported us throughout the week. We are overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and commitment of everyone involved and are already looking forward to next year. <3
