Excursion day at the Gymnastics Training Center Kassel

As part of a planned cooperation between the Institute of Sport and Sports Science at the University of Kassel and the Gymnastics Performance Center Kassel, an excursion day was held at Sensenstein in Kassel on 20.12.2024. On this day, the basic and advanced courses in apparatus gymnastics were able to complete their practical sessions on the premises of the Gymnastics Performance Center Kassel. The participants each had 120 minutes of intensive practice time at their disposal. Under the guidance of lecturers Naomi van Dijk and Florian Heussner, highlights such as somersaults in the scavenger pit and flick-flicks on the airtrack mat ensured that the students had plenty of fun and courageous exploration.

This exciting experience and good exchange for the future trainee teachers was made possible by the 1st Chairwoman of the Gymnastics District of North Hesse, Ms. Martina Hohmann-Michels, as well as the Head of Support for Female Apparatus Gymnastics, Ms. Michaela Mendra.
