Research focus areas

The research focuses on subject-specific didactic and instructional issues in the vocational fields of nursing and health care. It examines the conditions and characteristics of high-quality teaching and learning processes, as well as their subject-specific design. Particular attention is paid to the quality of learning tasks and their potential for cognitive activation, as well as to addressing linguistic, cultural, and performance-related heterogeneity.

The focus is on the development, instructional design, and evaluation of digital training and continuing education programs in nursing and health education. The research examines which design principles contribute to creating digital learning scenarios that promote motivation and are effective for learning. Particular emphasis is placed on task-oriented digital formats in the education and continuing education of nursing and healthcare professions.

This study examines the framework conditions, the pedagogical design, and the evaluation of interprofessional education programs in the health professions. The focus is on how learning opportunities can be designed to promote interprofessional competencies and support collaboration among different health professions in professional practice.

The study examines which occupational demands, as well as personal and social resources, influence the health of teachers and employees in professions involving social interaction. The goal is to identify factors that affect health and to derive from them starting points for health-promoting measures in occupational contexts.
